Why should I use a memory saver?
Most modern vehicles post 1999 have a large amount of information stored in the vehicles Electronic Control Unit or ECU. These include, Radio and Comfort settings, Engine Management, Steering wheel position/traction control, GPS and Immobiliser.
If the vehicle battery is disconnected either for replacement or to access service components, these codes will be lost.
The memory saver uses the EOBD socket fitted to every car since 1999 to supply power to the ECU and maintain the vital codes, and prevent expensive visits to a franchised dealer to get the codes restored.
